Several months ago, Nzimire received a message from her family that her mother was ill. She knew she must go to help and set off on a long journey toward a very dangerous area known as North-Kivu, Congo. War and genocide is typical in this area as Muslim rebels have continued to terrorize the local villagers for many years.
Up until that dreadful message came, Nzimire had been assisting in leading a discovery bible study in her small village. She and the former village drunk, Shabade, had been faithfully leading the people. They had been well trained by Pastor Bosco before he left to oversee a growing work in Luvungi, Congo.
Our team soon lost all contact with Nzimire. Unbeknown to them, she had accidentally dropped her cell phone in a latrine and could not afford to buy another. The details are unclear, but somehow Pastor Mbirima received a phone number of someone from that area who knew her and was able to put her in contact with the home team in Uvira.
The good news is that Nzimire had finally been found, and as a good disciple, has been leading others to Christ. She had begun a discovery bible study with eight people her village! Like the disciples of old, who spread the Gospel wherever they landed, this dear lady is walking in their footsteps!
